Day 2 Feature Matches

2/11/2018

Comments

There's all kinds of variety in this final bracket. Fortunately for us we got to witness some action-packed duels as a result. We've got some great video coverage of these Day 2 matches, be sure to check it out!
Up first is a Quarter Finals battle between Jazz's cookie cutter Goat Control build and Thgink Egarim's rather unusual "Hand Control" build (are we sure it's not aggro?). Anywho, I'm betting this one will come down to which duelist uses their side deck better than the other.
Up next we have another Quarter Finals match between Carl Waite's TD Chaos Control build and KizaruTengu's Gearfried Aggro build. I might give the edge to Kizaru's deck in this matchup since it's so fast and Carl's is relatively slow. We'll see whether Carl can use his side deck to overcome this disadvantage.
Now we move on to the Semi Finals. After scoring a convincing win in the Quarter Finals, Jazz's Goat Control will have a more perilous matchup against NBthebest's extra spicy German Chaos Turbo list. Can Jazz handle NB's explosive power plays, or will NB overwhelm Jazz with his deck's insanely high advantage ceiling?
The Grand Finals of the inaugural FLC sets up to be a classic. Just when we all thought aggro decks were dead, KizaruTengu has taken the tournament by storm with an impressive Gearfried deck. Despite it being his first major Goat tournament, KizaruTengu has a real chance to knock off the more experienced Jazz. Fittingly, it all comes down to an anti-meta vs. meta matchup between two duelists who have showcased some great technical play this weekend. This should be a good one!
