Even though this is a match of pre-Exarion Goat Format (side bar: you could call this format 'Authentic Goats' because Exarion Universe wasn't in the card pool without Cyber Dragon for a single premier tournament), the basic mechanics of playing the Goat mirror are the same.
This video highlights my minimalist, patience-based approach to goat control mirrors. I chose to showcase this video because it's a good example of me playing almost mistake-free. I was particularly happy with the level of patience I exhibited throughout this match. I left tokens on the field at ideal moments, and I focused on establishing powerful Tsuku-locks to guarantee victory. I knew when to attack, but also when not to attack. I knew when to bait things out, but also when to go for swing plays. Some might call this play-style too passive, but I call it calculating and precise.
Sometimes the best plays are those you decide not to make.
